Welcome to The Ultimate Comeback Kit!

How To Use The Ultimate Comeback Kit!

It is recommended to move through the lessons sequentially. You can re-access particular lessons by clicking the links below.

Lesson #1

Lesson #1 covers the Primary Practice Space as well as the Brainwashing Technique that is applied to each playing exercise throughout the course. These techniques, when combined, form an amazing approach to practicing pretty much anything on the trumpet.

Once you’ve got your head screwed on straight, the rest of the course will flow right into place and you’ll have a lot of fun. In fact, I think you’ll love it. Expect your excitement at the feeling of how much you love this lesson to be off the charts.

Lesson #2

Lesson #2 guides you, step-by-step, through the process of creating your first Daily. The Daily is an easy, effective method of building the #1 most-important habit for making the Ultimate Comeback; Consistent, daily practice.

Most know that practicing consistently is important. Still many fail to do it. That’s because they do not approach their practice from the path of least resistance.

If you’ve ever struggled to start a new routine, you’re going to want to pay attention to this part.

Lesson #1 and Lesson #2 are great to do in a single sitting. After that you can take the rest of the lessons at a more leisurely pace.

Lesson #3

Lesson #3 will check in on your basic playing mechanics by running you through the 5-Point Mechanics Checklist. Correcting all five points will ensure your embouchure, tongue, mouthpiece set, breathing and posture habits are set up in a way that makes playing easier as you go.

Lesson #3 can be broken up into smaller chunks as your schedule permits. Each mechanic can be viewed as a separate lesson.

Lesson #4

In addition to the Daily, your Practice Plan will also consists of a Practice Rotation.

The Practice Rotation ensures that your general trumpet playing keeps improving, especially if you don’t have a lot of time. Selecting and cycling through the hardcore basics of brass playing, along with the concept of Progressive Overload, can improve your technique for years using a simple, basic rotation.

Lesson #4 is best done in one sitting.

Lesson #5

Lesson #5 teaches you how to play higher and longer.

…that’s probably all that needs to be said about that.

Lesson #5 can be broken up into chunks.

Lesson #6

By the time you get to lesson #6 you are in possession of a solid Practice Plan for continued growth. This lesson is then dedicated to giving you the tools needed to make amendments and corrections to your plan as you continue along your Ultimate Comeback journey.

Nice!

You are encouraged to share your experience as a Comeback Player in the comment sections below each lesson. The comment section is also a great place to ask questions, and commiserate with your fellow come-backers on the joys and painful sorrows of playing this monster of an instrument.

I will occasionally check-in to make sure everyone is OK.
